Skies for SpeedFlying

I think blue skies work best. When it's cloudy there's less contrast and it's harder to see the terrain. I also think the atmosphere is much nicer with a bit of sunshine.

I am using a pair of C 100 Power Jacket Head alpine skies, 175 cm. I am 185 cm tall. They are a little bit too soft I think. In high speeds the jump around a lot, making the turns a bit more difficult than they need to be. At the same time they feel unstable when touching down on the snow. My advice is therefore to choose a pair of stiff skies designed for high speeds.

How ever; I am very happy with my Fritschi freeride plus randonné bindings. Combined with the scarpa spirit 4 randonné shoes, this is the perfect equipment for getting to high peaks outside ski lift areas. Get to the top, lock the bindings, fasten the retractable ski poles to the harness, and speedfly down! And in addition; you will get in pretty good shape doing this:)

I don't know but are the skis so important? isn't it good to take the normal skis that I know best? I've got the rossignol scratch bc and I love this ski! but I'm about 1,70m and the ski is about 1,80m (and fatski)

Try fat freeride skis, its the best choice for off pist riding!
I love my fischer atua (186cm).
