LEARN TO BASEJUMP

Submitted by: freakboy066

I will be running a First Jump Base Course at the Perrine Bridge over Labor Day weekend, and other courses by appointment only.(If I have students)Interested people must have a minimum of 100 skydives or a P-3 rating. If you have a combination of less skydives and a P-2 we can discuss your experience in both disciplines. If interested you can contact me at the email address below, and from there we can exchange #s.I am well known in the sport, and have been jumping for nearly 10 years and have well over 1000 basejumps.I have dealerships with 2 of the 3 major Base gear Manufacturers(Apex Base & Morpheus Technologies-which includes Atair Canopies & Phoenix Fly Suits). Both know me and can verify that I am who I say I am.You must have base specific gear to go through my course. If you need gear I can order for you(discounted pricing),and possibly find you used gear.I can also possibly provide rental gear at an extra price.Pricing for the course is on my website(preliminary site).Along with the course curriculum.

Well, I won't be able to make it out to the FJC this year, I am planning on taking the course next spring. I was only curious about the weight factor since I am a 250lbs. pilot and have had nothing but trouble finding gear in speedflying and paragliding. I am learning to skydive now, have 17 jumps, and the dropzone where I am learning says that they have made an exemption for me since they typically do not allow people over 230lbs. to jump.

It is good to know that in BASE jumping the big boys are allowed to play with everybody else....

See you next spring!!!

@ Ram Air Man - You can use my Wing Loading calculator linked from the 'Guidelines' section on the main website to work out your rough ideal size canopy

& Cheers for posting the Loading figures Mike....

They make a 354 square ft canopy. They will special order gear though. You typically want to be .65-.75(including 20lbs for clothing and gear) per square ft.Meaning between 230-270 roughly.Let me know if you need anymore info.If really interested send me an email with your#,and I will call you.
