April 4th & 5th, 2009, The 2nd ever ski launch Speedflying event in Japan "Speed Riding Race in TSUGAIKE" was held at the Tsugaike
Highland ski resort, Nagano, Japan.

The event was organized by Tsugaike para-glider school, the homeground of Gin Gliders in Japan.

11 competitors participated.
The competition was simple Downhill time race. The standings were decided by the total time.
The competition course was the same as last year and part of the Shirakaba course that was 1.4 km long and had shallow 24 degrees maximum/18 degrees average slope angle.

+3 seconds/m² handicap rule based on Nano14 was applied this year, too. (ex, Nano12 has +6 seconds handicap to Nano14...)

The games of 2 rounds stood in the Day 1.
The Day 2 was windy, the competition was canceled.

GLX114 (10.5m²) of Izuru Fujino outran Nanos and took the 1st place.
Weak back wind condition on the Day 1 pushed the GLX faster and his 21 seconds handicap was blown off.
