Charity bike ride for South Wales Air Ambulance
On the 28th July 2007 one of the UK pilots Adrian Key had an almost fatal accident Speed-Flying at one of his local hills.
A list of his injuries include - fractured Pelvis in 3 places, fractured Bilateral femurs, one compound, multiple fractures to Right lower leg, Blind in left eye due to optic nerve damage, broken jaw, fractured skull and head trauma etc, etc...
After many hours of operations, hospital visits and months of recovery his determination has seen him return to a virtually normal life. To give something back to the people who saved his life on that day he will be doing a challenging charity bike ride with Simon one of the paramedics who was first on the scene. Their bike ride will cover a distance of 135 miles from Mount Snowdon, the highest mountain in North Wales, to the Pen-y-Fan the highest mountain in South Wales.
They will start Friday 2nd April, until Monday 5th April 2010.
