20th April 2006 on the Olympic Speedskiing track at Les Arcs which is located on l'Aiguille Rouge Francois Bon , GIN Team Pilot, set the first straight line Speedflying world record with a speed of 146.46km/h while piloting his GIN 8 square metre speedflying prototype wing.
The record was recorded by the European Spatial Agency, and French National Science Institute, using one of their GPS systems.
