uk sites?

Hi everyone,I've just been out to Salt lake city,Utah for a weeks intensive paragliding and speedriding course.Speedriding was the ultimate goal and I did quite a few short flights on the Ozone bullet 14m.....I'm totally hooked now, the mix of speed whilst flying close to the terrain was so much fun. I'll be trying to find good spots around Europe but does anyone know of any Uk spots for some short flights? i live in Brighton

Thanks for the info,I was out skiing in Chamonix in Feb when I got the inspiration to get into the sport,the guys from Ozone were running a speed flying tour there . Thats the guys I trained with in the states, they thought the terrain was spot on. They will be heading back over again next season so will hopefully hook up with them,really nice bunch. where you at in the UK? Mike

UK locations - there aren't that many. UK is pretty flat for Speed-Flying which is why there are very few SpeedFliers.

Regular paragliding sites maybe useable, but I guess you may need to check if its OK to fly first. Other sites may need land owners permission ?
Wales, Lake District, Scotland and Yorkshire moors etc...
again you may need to get permission if not public access. Another thing to keep in mind is where and when RAF are doing their low level flight training in Wales - Lake District and Scotland.

I am quiet lucky that I have a few suitable training hills but to get some proper flying its a 4-6 hr drive to get to Wales - Lake District.

I am slowly putting together a World Location list - so if you find anywhere suitable please let me know.
