Speedflying in Norway
First of all; this is a great site!
If I may, I would like to inform the readers about a new web page in Norway; speedflying.no. This is a private page, hobby-based, and in the future hopefully a good information channel for speedflyers in Norway. I have a lot more experience flying, than making web pages, so you might find some strange solutions:)
For now its only in norwegian, but in the future I will write important messages in English, such as events, popular flying sites etc.
Speedflying is not yet a big thing in Norway. I know of only a handful of people flying so far. However, we have a lot of great mountains perfect for the sport; particulary in the alpin-regions on the west coast (the Sunnmøre area).

Sverre Bjerkenes has made a short, but very nice movie of summer speedflying in Norway. Check out www.Speedflying.no and see his ride down the hillside surrounded by great norwegian nature. He is flying a GIN Nano 13, and the location is Steigen. Rugged mountains in disparity to the white sandy beaches facing Vestfjorden and Lofotveggen, give Steigen an array of contrasts. It's a great place to speedfly!
