Hi, I was just curious where this sport is most popular, I would guess CALI and Utah, but do people fly on the northeast as much? How about in the state of Virginia any speed gliders here? I am a new hang glider pilot that is really interested in speed gliding, but have no idea where I could take advantage of this sport around me.

Thanks for the replys. Sorry haven't checked this in a while. Ya man, but I don't have a canopy or anything yet tho. I know there are few hang gliding launch points off of va skyline drive, but not sure if the landings are too far out for a speed glider lol. Dickeys ridge might work... Even ridge soaring would make me happy for a while..
