I am the only local speed pilot in the eastern Sierra it looks like, so I have been going out and finding my own spots. Have opened about 30 different big mountain exits (all above 10,000 feet, some above 13,000 ft), and about 15 different foot launching exits in the Whites and Sierra. Have hit some wicked rotors in the search for new exits, paragliding from some of these exits would be close to suicidal. Cool video!!
Are there a lot of speedflying sites in the SW?? Just curious since I travel from Canada to Arizona/California in the fall/winter and wouldn't mind doing some speedflying down there.
