Injured Windy Gap speed flier airlifted after Sty Head crash...

A 26-year-old man was airlifted from Sty Head in the Lake District (UK) after suffering serious injuries in a speed-flying accident. It was reported at 12.30pm he had attempted to speed fly down Windy Gap between Great Gable and Great End. He was caught by a cross wind, the canopy collapsed, and he fell between 10 and 15m to the ground, suffering back and pelvic injuries.
