MacPara - Whistler 2

The Whistler has attained a very good reputation with both Speed-flying pilots and Speed-flying schools thanks to the wide glide range available with brakes and its precise handling. For the 2009 season MacPara have redesigned the canopy and have improved stability through the whole speed range with very high loadings. After extensive testing MacPara have achieved their goals of simplicity and durability for their newest speed riding glider. Improved sail tension has resulted in minimum canopy movement. The handling is precise and progressive. The Whistler 2 is equipped with trimmers to improve the glide to match the terrain or when needed. The trimmers are positioned on the risers and are easy to use. MacPara have designed a well balanced glider which is uncomplicated and easy to handle with a wide brake range. To slow down or increase the glide you simply add brake. With hands-up the Whistler 2 is fast enough!

You simply choose the size according to the wing loading you want - high wing loading for experts, low wing loading for beginners. The Whistler is available in sizes 16²m; 14²m; 12²m and 11²m. The 14²m and 16²m sizes are for light or heavy beginners. The 12²m size is for very experienced pilots. The 11²m size is intended only for very light, experienced pilots and for experts. The Whistler can be delivered complete with the Buggy – a harness and rucksack in one.
