I kite and ski but have no experience paragliding or skydiving (yet). Simply amazed by the footage I have seen and would be very interested in trying this some day soon. Is there a minimum skill-set necessary to try this. Any suggestions for best way to safely get introduced to the sport? Any contact info for those who may be qualified to offer instruction?

Many Thanks,

yea Im from the US and want to learn how to speed fly. do I really need to take all the classes which they have at the schools or can I pick up a rig and find a mellow hill to teach myself on? Or is there anyone that is willing to teach me for less? Far less. I have skydived before but only 23 times, but still have had some canopy experience.

Hello Jlouie

In Switzerland you need a paragliding license to do speed-flying. In France you can start without any license and they have schools there.

If you are a good skier it will help you.

good luck!!
